Frozen food labels need special properties
Food labels such as thermal labels, product labels, barcode labels, etc. perform this task and indicate when the space for certain food safety information is exhausted on the outside or when they are applied just before the freezing process. Consumer price, weight, expiration date, etc.
Conventional food labels do not adhere firmly to frozen products. When temperatures change due to blast freezing or sudden thawing, conventional food labels, adhesive labels or roll labels no longer adhere reliably to the packaging and can fall off.
However, there is a solution to this problem. It is a label for frozen food. This label is made of freezer label paper or food grade polyethylene film and has the right color. But the most important part of the frozen food label is a special adhesive.
Deep freeze label adhesives are based on food grade polymers and additives that ensure excellent tactile properties at very low temperatures. Low transfer hot melt adhesives are also used for freezing labels. They feature the best adhesion and processing properties at low temperatures.
