Based on the design of the previous best-selling TTP-245 Plus, TTP-247 runs an impressive 177.8 mm per second, printing up to 101.6 mm wide at 203 dpi resolution. The second model in the series, TTP-345, offers high-resolution 300 dpi printing at 127 mm per second. Both models have a generous memory capacity of 8 MB as SDRAM and 4 MB as flash memory on the motherboard. An SDHC card reader on the motherboard allows gigabytes of flash memory to be added. The TTP-247 series offers USB 2.0, parallel and serial interfaces as standard and an Ethernet interface as an option for use in any environment. The TSPL-EZ® printer control language is compatible with other TSC® printer control languages and offers TPLE (Translation Printer Language Eltron®) and TPLZ (Translation Printer Language Zebra®). The printer will translate and print any label format sent to the printer. TSPL-EZ® also offers internal scalable True Type fonts using Monotype® font management, which is otherwise only offered for more expensive printers. The user-friendly clamshell design makes the printer easy to operate and speeds up necessary material changes. The innovative dual-gear motor design has enough power to handle 300-meter-long print ribbons and label rolls with outer diameters up to 213.4 mm. The two motors instead of a single one produce less torque, combined with longer life and less running noise. Loading the print film has become even easier. The TTP-247 series offers plenty of finger room to easily load and change films. The 300-meter run capacity is more than four times the industry standard for desktop printers, and the printer can accommodate label rolls with an outer diameter of up to 127 mm on a 1" core.
