Matching ribbon to label

To achieve an optimal subsequent imprint on labels, certain conditions must be met. The thermal transfer printer must have the necessary resolution, the media, as ribbon and label, must be matched, the print parameters such as heat and speed must fit, and the label printer must be in perfect condition. Dot defects in the print head or worn feed rollers, too little or too much heat, the wrong ink ribbon, a print speed that is too high, a pressure that is too weak, and more can impair or make printing impossible and even render bar codes unreadable. Very often, it is not the actual label printer that is the cause, but an incorrect combination of various factors.
